HISL's Alpha range of aircrew helmets have an established reputation for high performance head protection combining supreme comfort and reliability, to meet a wide range of military and civil aircrew operations. The innovative Alpha design has won international recognition for its outstanding performance and is currently used in fast jets and helicopters by over 60 military and civil air arms worldwide.
Included in the aircrew range is the new Alpha Eagle 'Wet Winch' search and rescue (SAR) helmet, which provides the essential combination of lightweight head protection and hands-free, voice activated communications (VOX) enabling pilot, winch man and survivor to maintain contact throughout the operation. HISL have also been awarded the contract to develop the Helmet Unit (HU), an integral part of the Helmet Mounted Display, for pilots flying the new F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) aircraft being manufactured by Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and BAE SYSTEMS.
